What anime is this?
Looking at these icons is a painful reminder of how anime deprived I am. : ( On the bright side, not getting an anime channel means I won't stall (much...) on doing my homework. My fav icon is 03. ^_^
you're probably better off :p
I think that it'd be much better to have limited access to television when a person has studies. I wish that I'd have less access for this case :p I'm always watching something on the side of what I need to get done.
I Hope you enjoyed the post :)
Those are absolutely beautiful! I really wish the anime itself were as good ^.^ I nabbed # 11 and will give credit, of course...
(I really need to learn how to make those gif's, too... >_<)
Thanks a lot! I'm happy that you liked them~
IMO, I thought overall that the animation for the show was great, I'm sure that everything besides that could've been improved but I found it pretty :)
If you'd ever like to know about the programs I use to make them I wouldn't mind letting you know~
The animation was really great and the atmosphere was really conveyed good through the colors and all that. Sadly, the storyline - especially the solution and ridiculous/almost comedic overexaggerated deaths in the last episodes - couldn't keep up with it T-T
Oh my - thank you for the offer! And here I was fully prepared to google-fu the hell out of the internet ;) Actually, I guess that I have the basic knowledge down, but what I don't know is: how do you get the screencaps frame for frame? I have (as of now) only the VLC player to get screencaps and I seem to lack the dexterity to catch them as needed... Any help would be highly appreciated! ^-^
I agree with you on all of that. To add, to me I also think that the character development wasn't there, I love when there is a lot of development between characters.
Lol at "Google-fu".
Do you happen to use Mac or Windows?
Yes, I too love a realistic character development, watching the characters grow is always such a delight. It's not an anime example, but the tv series "Jericho" really excelled in that regard. Plus in "Another" so many things were left unanswered... And the solution, to kill the dead one - seriously? If it is corporeal, you kill it; don't they watch SPN over in Japan?! ;)
Sadly, I only have the white belt in google-fu, so I'm seldom successfull ;)
I use a netbook with Windows. Only graphics program I have is GIMP - no money for Photoshop T-T Although for a free program, I think GIMP is really marvelous!
I noticed :) I haven't seen Jericho myself, but also have many shows that I could think of that did wonderful with development. I think that there were way too many plot "twists" hinted through the story that never actually ended up being explained, I felt that the authors pulled away from them and covered them up with gore. The show also became fairly predictable to myself as a person who has seen so many anime series.
lol, I would probably be a black.. maybe I'm being cocky over it D:
I'm going to send a PM to you for this stuff since It might get long :p
I was so free and easy and added you as a friend - hope that was alright? :)
I agree - they should have made up their minds: do they want to make it a horror anime or mystery? Problem is, they stuck to the former until close to the end, the gruesome deaths not really counted... I really would have wished for a better ending, too. There is just too much left undisclosed.
If you have the chance, I would really rec you to watch "Jericho", if you can get into the general topic of the show. Sadly, it was canceled after two seasons, but it's one of those shows that stuck with me long after it was finished.
yeah, just fine :)
I hope that you enjoyed your holiday!
I remember a video game named Jericho... I think I remember it looked sort of scary which attracted me in the store since I love scary things (like Silent Hill). I'm not sure if they're related, I doubt it.
I may have heard of the television show too.. I just have a terrible memory, I will start watching it sometime though~
Well, it was just one free day, "May Day or "International Workers Day", like they call it, nothing too special, and we didn't do anything much, aside from lazing around. Not that we didn't need that ;)
No, the game and tv show are not related; here, have a wiki link:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho_%28TV_series%29
While I can watch scary movies (with a pillow handy) I never play horror games, - I'm a RPG addict, though :) Especially the Tales series and Shin Megami Tensei. But Silent Hill or Resident Evil always threatens to give me a heartattack °-°Edited at 2012-05-02 02:42 pm (UTC)
Ah, I'm very familiar with lazing around~
It's always a nice thing to have time to relax.
Thanks a lot for the link :)
I'm going to go search for some online streaming of it.
When I first got my Silent Hill (2) game..
I only played it for a minute before finding the first save point, then I put the game away. I would usually play on easy so I could pretty much kill each monster with only a hit.. and for Resident evil I would just get someone else to play for me :3
I really like how well done those series are, they're amazing at spooking people out.
and for Tales.. I know of Tales of Symphonia if that counts?
I love it too :) Besides, having time to really relax is quite rare nowadays, so I'm happy playing couch potato.
Have another link ;)http://www.free-tv-video-online.me/internet/jericho/
If they manage to impose all kind of laws on the net, life will be much more gray T-T
I acutally bought the first Silent Hill game, but as soon as a half-eaten dog attacked me, I nearly fainted and my chara died °-° But the effects and story is amazing. Did you like the movie adaptation?
Tales of Symphonia does count like whoa - it's my favorite game out of the whole series, closely followed by Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Destiny. I imported the latter, sadly, my modified PSOne is now six feet under T-T
Thanks a lot for the link, though I haven't gotten to it yet- I'll be sure to check it out and will let you know when I have started/finished :)
Lol, yeah some of the first and latest games of Silent Hill are pretty hard too, if you've had one of those/played one. My favourites are SH 2 and 3. SH 2 is incredibly fun and the story is really nice (IMO), and SH 3 is the scariest and obviously follows the original storyline.
I did like the adaptation :)
Really? D: are you planning on replacing it?
They can get pretty expensive.. mine is treated beyond royally just so we can try and prevent it from dying.
LOL - just go and watch if and when you have the time! Don't get steamrolled by my enthusiasm for the show! :) It's just that is one of those rare tv gems that acutally influence my and are there to stay.
Can't say anything further about the games, since I only bought (and sold) the first one. But I had no problems watching the adaptation - just sad ending, that they are dead and chose to stay in that in between world. Left me with a cold feeling.
My PS1 was of the very first generation, so it got to be well used for the money I invested back then :) At some point they just crash, that's the way of all technical stuff.
No, I'm not planning to replace it. I now own only one import PS1 game (Xenogears, my fav. RPG ever), so to buy such a classic again would be a waste of good money. I stick with the handhelds (well, everything before N3Ds) to import games.
